    The Betty Queen Center is available for walking during January through April, 2018 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 6:45 AM - 8:00 AM. These are the only times the gym is available for walking during these Winter and Spring months; however, these hours are subject to change.

  2. Billiards Club

    Are you aged 21 or older and love playing billiards, but have no place to play? Come join the Cue Ball Billiards Club at the Betty Queen Center. The Teen Center is open most weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The cost is just $10 for membership for January through April 2018. Play pool and spend time socializing with others who love the game. Hey ladies...this club is NOT just for men! Everyone is welcome. Why not give it a try?

  3. Sunday Billiards

    Billiards fans...you can now come to the Betty Queen Center on Sundays and play pool in the Teen Center from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. These Sunday Billiards cost $2 each time you attend and are open to the general public ages 21 and older, as well as current Club members.

    Louisa County Parks and Recreation (LCPRT) is bringing RESTAURANT WEEK back in 2018! The purpose of Restaurant Week is for local restaurants to partner with LCPRT to promote a week of their signature lunch and dinner specials at discounted/bundled prices. This is a great opportunity for both residents and visitors to check out the diverse selection of restaurants in Louisa County, and for local restaurants to showcase some of their best dishes! If YOU are excited about their 2018 Restaurant Week: TAG your favorite restaurant on Visit Louisa's Event Page and encourage them to join LCPRT’s Restaurant Week!   5. Cardio Pump 'n Core Workout

    Start your mornings with MargaretAnne and her Cardio Pump ‘n Core Workout. You don’t need to spend hours sweating on a treadmill and lifting weights at the gym to reap the benefits of exercise. MargaretAnne will layer cardio fat-burning moves, sculpting, core focused exercises, weights and resistance training to improve your muscle tone, strength, and flexibility. No two classes are the same. Everyone is welcome ~ first-timers wanting to start an exercise routine to the advanced fitness person wanting to add to their daily exercise routine. MargaretAnne will make sure you sweat away those calories with a great workout. Join her for an hour of fitness fun and don’t forget to bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and towel. If you can’t commit to a full session, take as many classes as you’d like for the $8 drop in rate per class. There will be no class on January 12th, January 15th, and February 19th.

  6. Canine Good Citizen Testing

    Think your pup is a Good Citizen? Come and take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. You and your dog will be so proud. If your pet has completed the Intermediate Dog Obedience class instructed by Sharon, you have all the skills needed to pass this test, but there are no prerequisites required. To learn more about this certified testing procedure, you can visit www.akc.org. All dogs must have up-to-date shot records. Sharon Jones is the instructor.

  7. Rise & Shine Yoga

    Develop balance, strength, flexibility, and stamina as well as increase mental alertness and de-stress with this alignment-based Rise & Shine Yoga class. Let instructor MargaretAnne invigorate you with uplifting yoga flows and poses and calm you with breathing and relaxation techniques. All levels of participants are welcome~from the person who has never taken a yoga class before to those already familiar with yoga. Bring a yoga mat and water bottle and join us for this class that allows you to focus on nothing but YOU. Drop-in rate of $9 is available if you cannot attend a full session.

  8. Basic Dog Obedience

    This dog obedience course will provide basic instruction for owners and their dogs. It will cover commands such as sit, heel, come, down, and stay. Also, instructor Sharon Jones, who has been training dogs for over 20 years, will discuss some of the most common behavioral issues many pet owners have. All dogs must have up-to-date shot records.

  9. Youth Aikido in Louisa

    Aikido is an excellent confidence booster for children, as it eliminates the need for them to compete or compare themselves to their peers. This program will help your child focus and improve their overall well-being; while also teaching discipline, respect, and empathy for others. as participants continue in the class, they will obtain belts based on the level they achieve. Open to children ages 6 through 12, Aikido is an on-going program which will continue throughout the year. Instructor Jeff martin has over 19 years of experience and received his Shidoin certificate in 2014. Discounts will be given to families with 3 or more members enrolled as well as those only able to attend once a week. February 21st, March 26th and March 28th will be inclement weather make-up dates if needed. Discounts: 3rd family member half price & $31 attending once a week.
