    January 1, 2018, 6:45 AM - April 30, 2018, 8:00 AM @ Betty Queen Center

    The Betty Queen Center is available for walking during January through April, 2018 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 6:45 AM - 8:00 AM. These are the only times the gym is available for walking during these Winter and Spring months; however, these hours are subject to change.

  2. Billiards Club

    January 1, 2018, 9:00 AM - April 30, 2018, 3:00 PM @ Betty Queen Center - Teen Center

    Are you aged 21 or older and love playing billiards, but have no place to play? Come join the Cue Ball Billiards Club at the Betty Queen Center. The Teen Center is open most weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The cost is just $10 for membership for January through April 2018. Play pool and spend time socializing with others who love the game. Hey ladies...this club is NOT just for men! Everyone is welcome. Why not give it a try?

  3. Sunday Billiards

    Billiards fans...you can now come to the Betty Queen Center on Sundays and play pool in the Teen Center from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. These Sunday Billiards cost $2 each time you attend and are open to the general public ages 21 and older, as well as current Club members.

  4. Louisa County Restaurant Week

    Louisa County Parks and Recreation (LCPRT) is bringing RESTAURANT WEEK back in 2018! The purpose of Restaurant Week is for local restaurants to partner with LCPRT to promote a week of their signature lunch and dinner specials at discounted/bundled prices. This is a great opportunity for both residents and visitors to check out the diverse selection of restaurants in Louisa County, and for local restaurants to showcase some of their best dishes! If YOU are excited about their 2018 Restaurant Week: TAG your favorite restaurant on Visit Louisa's Event Page and encourage them to join LCPRT’s Restaurant Week!   5. Just Right Basket

    February 23, 2018, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Betty Queen Center

    Join us and make this handy little basket to keep you organized in the kitchen, bath, office...just about anywhere! This basket is ideal for passing the bread or rolls, placing by the door for your keys and mail, or by your chair to hold your remotes and electronics, and much more. If you are new to basket weaving, this is a great basket to begin with. Learn the basics including twining, creating a closed weave base, and cross lashing the rim. Several different colors of reed for the strips will be available. Barbara Melnikov, of Lily & Reed is the instructor. Your finished basket will measure 10”x6”x3.5” and all materials are provided. Registration deadline is February15th.

It’s a great way to start your morning and a great place to laugh and enjoy as you move through different yoga postures. We will challenge you as well as encourage you in this class for those who want a yoga experience more than one day a week. Donya Bauer, MA, E-RYT 500, teaches you to honor your body and do only what you know your body is ready to do. As you move through this class, your balance, strength, and flexibility will improve and you will discover a beautiful sense of relaxation. Student input is always welcome and individual attention is paramount. Bring a yoga mat to class.

  7. Golden Age Club

    February 23, 2018, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM @ Hunan Best Chinese Restaurant

    This dues-free club is open to all Louisa County seniors (age 55 or better). Newcomers are ALWAYS welcome! The club provides fellowship, entertainment, and fun. The meetings are informal and include programs that are of special interest to seniors. Refreshments are provided at our Betty Queen Center meetings. If you will be attending lunch, please call the Parks, Recreation and Tourism office at 540.967.4420 before 10:00 a.m. on the day of the event to reserve a place. Join us for lunch at Hunan Best Chinese Restaurant, 501 East Main Street #109, Louisa (in the Food Lion Shopping Center).
